In past years, there were vegetable farmers who reported that it was difficult to manage the seedlings after the planting of autumn sweet peppers and the survival rate was not high. How should the scientific management of the autumn bell pepper be planted before and after colonization? It is recommended that vegetable farmers do the following six tasks.
First, ridging colonization
It is recommended that vegetable growers adopt ridging and colonization at the time of planting, but now it is hot and the ridges should not be high when ridging and colonization, so as to prevent ridge temperature from affecting the growth of sweet peppers, and it is more appropriate to use small ridges (5 to 8 cm in height). This can prevent rooting and dead trees after watering and increase the survival rate of sweet peppers.
Second, after the first set
Many vegetable farmers watered the bell pepper before planting, so it was not scientific to plant sweet pepper after water infiltration. Third, the shade cooling
In general, after the bell pepper is planted, the daylight temperature should be controlled at 32°C and at night at 18°C. However, if no shade cooling measures are taken at present, the temperature in the greenhouse will be as high as 40°C, which is not suitable for the growth of sweet peppers, and prone to seedlings being burned by strong light. Therefore, it is recommended that vegetable farmers use shade nets to cool down.
Fourth, prevent root diseases
The root diseases that cause dead peppers are mainly pepper blight, root rot, and bacterial wilt. Root disease is a devastating disease of pepper. Once the disease is severe, it is difficult to control. For these diseases, it is still necessary to prevent them. It is recommended that vegetable growers use 1 kg of Dang Ning and 1 kg of thiophanate-methyl mixed soil per acre before planting. Sprinkle in planting trenches and mix well with soil, which can effectively prevent root diseases of pepper.
Fifth, anti-root
The dead trees that were found in the roots were mainly caused by one-time watering and rainwater irrigation. In general, after the bell pepper has been planted with water, it is generally no longer watered during the seedling period so as to avoid causing excessive soil moisture, causing root diseases and dead trees. Therefore, if the bell pepper is planted and the soil is particularly arid and needs to be watered, be sure to pour small water in the early morning or evening.
6. Rainwater canopies
Sweet pepper root system is weak, to prevent rainwater irrigation. It is recommended that vegetable farmers close the greenhouse vents before the next heavy rain, especially in front of the shed. Even the light rain should be closed to prevent rain from entering the shed, resulting in dead trees. If it is improperly protected, rainwater shall be drained out of the shed in time after the rainwater is flooded, and then water shall be poured again to increase the air permeability of the soil. At the same time, pharmaceuticals such as Prec may be applied to prevent root diseases.
