Pharmacological effects
1. Antispasmodic effect Dry lacquer alcohol extracts have antagonistic effects on histamine, serotonin, acetylcholine, and antihistamines, lysergic acid diethylamine on isolated smooth muscle organs (eg large intestine, small intestine, bronchus, uterus). (Anti-5-hydroxytryptamine) and atropine are similar in properties, but their strength is weaker.
2. The other effects of dry paint water extract preparation on the oxygen consumption of neonatal rat cardiomyocytes was not obvious.
The experimental observation of the antithrombin effect showed that the clotting time was not significantly prolonged in the dry paint extract (0.2 g crude drug/ml) compared with the control group. It is different from earthworms and leeches that have strong anticoagulant effects.
Latest research findings
According to the Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the scientists found that some of the compounds contained in Chinese traditional medicine dry lacquer inhibit the secretion of extracellular matrix and pro-inflammatory cytokines in diabetic nephropathy. Dry paint may become a new drug for anti-diabetic nephropathy.
