Feeding management of young ducks

Ducklings grow particularly quickly, require high feeding and management, and are sensitive to the environment. They are also delicate and slightly inadvertently cause growth retardation and even increased mortality. Therefore, scientific rearing management is required. After picking up, we mainly do the following tasks:

1. Grouping

The large group of ducklings is not conducive to management, environmental conditions are not easy to control, and it is easy to start a frightened group or squeezing death. Therefore, in order to increase the brooding rate, group management should be carried out, and each group of 200 to 250 animals is appropriate.

2. Drinking water

Ducklings first drink water, commonly known as "water." Usually within 24 hours after hatching, there are many ways to boil water, so ducklings can freely drink water in shallow water. The water can not pass through the toes of ducks and can be active for 5 to 10 minutes. Water trays can also be used to add appropriate amounts of vitamin C, glucose, and antibiotics to the ducklings' drinking water. The effect will be better. It will increase nutrition and increase the disease resistance of ducklings. The number of drinking fountains should be sufficient, and water should not be cut off. However, water should be prevented from overflowing, so that the floor mats should be damp and young ducklings are prone to illness.

3. Eat food

Ducklings hatch for 12 to 24 hours or 1/3 of the young ducklings start feeding for the first time. Normally, they can be eaten about 15 minutes after boiling, and should not be boiled before eating. It is better to feed young ducks with full-priced small pellets, because the full price feed is full-fledged and can meet various nutrients needed for ducklings. Sprinkle the feed on trays, mats or plastic sheets to lure ducklings to feed. If there is no full-grain pellet feed, half-cooked rice and cooked egg yolk can be mixed with water to form a wet mix and then fed with nutrient-rich full-priced feeds after a few days.

4. Feeding methods and times

The first-week-old ducklings should allow them to feed freely and keep the feed in the feed tray. However, one feed should not be too much to prevent the food from being contaminated for a long time and cause the ducklings to become sick or waste feed. Therefore, it is better to feed less tidings. The first week will be fed with 22 g of each duckling and will be fed 6 to 7 times a day. In the second week, there will be 65 g of ducklings each day, which will be fed 4 to 5 times a day. Each week in the third week 100 grams of ducklings. If the ducklings have been grazing, reduce the amount of feed appropriately.

5. Strict attention to disease prevention

Ducklings are intensively reared and the groups are large and concentrated, and are prone to epidemics. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen daily management, do a good job of cleaning and sanitation, keep the pens dry, do not accumulate water, and have soft grass. We must do a good job of prevention work. Feeding until about 20 days old, each muscle is injected with 1 ml of attenuated duck plague vaccine; about 30 days of age, 2 ml of cholera vaccine is injected into each muscle, and 0.01% to 0.02% of potassium permanganate is usually used to drink water. The effect is also very good. it is good.
