According to the US "Qiao Bao" report, a few days ago, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) School of Science announced the promotion of five associate professors as tenured professors, including Zhang Feng, a famous Chinese scientist aged 34. In the history of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Qian Xuesen was promoted to a tenured professor at the age of 35, and for a long time was the holder of the record for the youngest Chinese tenured professor at MIT.
Zhang Feng now breaks Qian Xuesen's record and becomes the youngest Chinese tenured professor in MIT history. It is understood that Zhang Feng was born in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province on October 22, 1982. He immigrated to the United States with his family in 1994. He began to have great interest in life science research when he was in high school. He received a BS degree in Chemistry and Physics from Harvard University in 2004 and a Ph.D. in Chemistry and Bioengineering from Stanford University in 2009.
Zhang Feng's main research areas are nervous system function and disease. He has made cutting-edge explorations in the development of genetic editing tools for the use of natural microbial CRISPR systems for eukaryotic cells, including human cells. Through CRISPR and other methods, Zhang Feng has in-depth research on the relationship between genetic and genetic mechanisms and various diseases, especially in nervous system disorders.
Zhang Feng joined MIT in 2011 and is working in the Brain and Cognitive Sciences department of the McGovern Institute and the Broad Institute. In 2013, his laboratory developed an innovative CRISPR/Cas system, which greatly improved the reliability and efficiency of the edited genes and attracted international attention. He won many honors for his breakthrough research results.
In 2014, Zhang Feng was selected by Nature magazine as one of the top ten scientific figures of the year in 2013. In 2015, he was nominated for the “Boston of the Year†and in March 2016 he was awarded the Canadian Gairner International Award.
Multi Span Plastic Film Greenhouse
Arch greenhouse is a kind of economical greenhouse, which is welcomed by the users with graceful curve form and low cost. It has beautiful appearance, fluent visual, reasonable structure and good performance for keep temperature. It is economical greenhouse because of its relatively low manufacturing cost. It can be applied in most areas of China. Double membrane greenhouse is used more in north of China, while single film greenhouse is used more in southern region. It can get maximum sunlight when visible light is within the scope of 0.4 to 0.7 microns and form a thick envelope, which can effectively prevent heat loss and prevent the invasion of cold air. Adopting a double membrane can greatly improve heat preservation performance of the greenhouse and save operating cost. The top cover material is polyethylene lifelong anti-fog and anti-dipping film po-covering. The outer of it has the function of UV protection and the inner has the function of preventing from the sets of dew. According to the needs of customers, the sides of the greenhouse can be covered with polyethylene lifelong anti-fog and anti-dripping po-covering or polycarbonate hollow plate.
