Beijing time on April 7th news, according to foreign media reports, several scientists recently announced that they have made eyesight by injecting eye drops.

In the experiment, a volunteer can see more than 164 feet (about 50 meters) outside the black environment and can continue for "a few hours." By dropping a special pharmaceutical water into his eyes, he can see people running in the woods in the dark at any time, while others who do not have the potion see only one-third.

The experiment was conducted by a team of experimental scientists in California called BioBulk. They used a solution called a substance called chlorin e6 (Ce6). Ce6 is commonly found in deep-sea fish and has photosensitivity properties and is commonly used in cancer treatment research. The team mixed Ce6 with insulin and saline to get a solution that boosts human vision in low light conditions.

However, they pointed out in the paper that "the substance is likely to be absorbed by the body through the skin and has certain toxicity, so it must be used with caution."

Russell Peake, manager of the eye health environment at Boots Opticians, points out that people should stop doing this experiment: "In addition to prescriptions prescribed by an ophthalmologist, family doctor or pharmacist, People should not inject anything into their eyes. Invasive ophthalmic surgery can only be performed by professionally trained ophthalmologists in a regular orthopaedic hospital. Once improperly handled, it may cause interference or even damage to the surface of the eye or tears, and may result in Vision loss. Although 'night vision eye drops' sounds interesting, it does not seem to have a medical license. We strongly object to people using the potion at home because it is very risky. And we recommend people to consult the locals. ophthalmology."

During the experiment, the syrup was dropped into the conjunctival sac of one of the researchers, Gabriel Licina, and then to the retina.

“We used a micropipette to drop the Ce6 solution into the conjunctival sac, each eye dropping three times, 50 microliters each time,” the researchers wrote.

The solution first darkens his eyes, but after a few seconds, the solution is absorbed by the eye and the eye returns to its original color.

"I feel that there is a greenish black in front of my eyes, and then it is absorbed by my eyes." Mr. Lisina commented.

But in order to "reduce the chance of being exposed to strong light," the research team asked him to wear black contact lenses.

Within an hour, his vision in low light conditions has improved significantly. In order to test the results of the experiment, Mr. Resina and four “control group” volunteers who did not drop the solution were taken together to a “dark area”. They were asked to identify some dynamic or static signs in the dark, as well as people looking for a run in a small forest.

“Volunteers who used the Ce6 solution saw the signs from start to finish, and some of the markers were invisible.”

In the second experiment, volunteers using the Ce6 solution were able to identify 100% of the human body in the distance, while the control group only recognized 33%.

After the experiment, Mr. Resina also wore sunglasses while sleeping, and his vision returned to normal levels the next morning. And within 20 days after the experiment, the experimenter did not show any obvious adverse reactions.

Although the researchers said that more experiments are needed, the first experimental results have shown that this technology can enhance human vision in low light conditions.

They concluded: "More experiments are needed to test their impact on human health."
