Analysis of flower types and characteristics

Zhanjiang Yazhu Horticultural Flower Plantation Farm was established in August 2002. It is mainly engaged in the professional production and export trade of tropical plants such as Rich Bamboo, Lotus Bamboo, and Pachira, and is a demonstration plantation processing enterprise in Zhanjiang City. After several years of development and flower export trade experience, with the business philosophy of honesty, quality, cooperation, and win-win, we have developed into a large-scale export trade of fresh cut flowers.

What is a succulent flower? The succulent flower is a concept of flower gardening, sometimes called a succulent plant. But the meaning of horticultural succulents is narrower than that of botany succulents. The botany succulents are also called succulent plants or multi-plasma plants. The term was first proposed by the Swiss botanist Joan Bauham in 1619 and meant that these plants had hypertrophic fleshy stems, leaves or roots. It includes all species of cactaceae and Apricotaceae and some other types of more than 50 families, totaling over 10,000 species. The horticulturally called succulents or multi-flesh flowers do not include cactus plants. In flower gardening, cacti plants are designated as cactus plants or cactus flowers (referred to as cactus or palm). The reason why they are separated is due to their differences in habits and cultivation. At present, experts at home and abroad are basically narrated separately. Therefore, the fleshy or multi-flesh plants mentioned here do not include cacti plants, but mainly refer to the family Apricotaceae, Sedumaceae, Dachao, Aequaceae, More than a dozen families such as Locomo, Liliaceae, etc.
Several types of succulents can be divided into three major types according to their different parts in the succulent plant:
(l) Leafy succulent plants: The leaves are highly succulent and the stems are less succulent, with some types of stems having a certain degree of lignification. Such as Fan Xing Ke, Jing Tian Branch, Liliaceae and Agaveaceae species.
(2) Stem and succulent plants: The water storage tissues of plants are mainly distributed in stems, and some species have stem segments, ribs, and condylar processes. A few species have slightly fleshy leaves, but generally fall early. It is represented by the succulents of Euphorbiaceae and Lomocco.
(3) Stem-like succulents: The fleshy part of the plant is concentrated at the base of the stem, and this part is particularly enlarged. Stems vary in shape due to their different species, but they are mainly spherical or nearly spherical, sometimes buried underground, without knots, edges, and condyles. With leaves or leaves falling early, the leaves grow directly from the tip of the enlarged stalk or from a thin, slender, slender shoot with little flesh. Sometimes this slender branch also falls early. It is represented by succulents of the family Dioscoreaceae, Cucurbitaceae, and Passiflora.
What types and shapes of succulent plants have more than 50 families of succulents? There are many types of leaves, most species are single leaves, and the succulent plants of the genus Oxalis, lacquer, Moringa, araceae, leguminosae, and Passiflora are compound leaves. Although there are only dozens of species with these compound leaves, the type of compound leaves are three leaves, palmate compound leaves, two pinnate compound leaves, and single pinnate compound leaves. The single leaves are arranged in a symbiotic manner, alternately, opposite to each other, alternately opposite to each other, stacked in two rows and arranged in rosettes. The shape of the wire-shaped, spoon-shaped, oval; oval, heart-shaped, sword-shaped, tongue-shaped, diamond-shaped and so on. Some are full, others are palmate, feathery and lobed; others have leaf margins and tipped spines or hairs. Some of the small-shaped species of the Apricotaceae have almost no stems. The shape of the leaves is very peculiar and very succulent, some are stick-shaped, and more are composed of pairs of opposite leaves. They are spherical, oblate, gyro, and ingot-shaped. and many more.
What are the characteristics of the morphology of succulent stems? The stems of succulent plants are generally not succulent. Many species of leaves grow close to the ground. Stems are almost or very short. Stem and succulent plants usually have erect cylindrical stems; there are also some species with globose, long globose or slender stalks. Columnar stems are usually circular in cross section and triangular or nearly square. The stalks of Euphorbiaceae and some of the rotifers have distinct ribs, ranging in number from 3 to more than 20. A few species also have condylar processes. For example, the cocoon of the bitter gourd palm is oblong, while the cockroaches of Tauren's Fighting Cow House are very neat. The stalk base shape of the stem-like succulent plants is very diverse, such as globular (Great Cangjiao Hall), long-necked bottle-shaped (wine bottle orchid), vine-shaped (clove purple), gyro-like (peacock ball), hemispherical (Tortoise A dragon), flat ball (laughing bag), oval (pine ball), spindle-shaped (Buddha tree) and so on. In some species of Longevity City of the purslane family, the stems are like old stumps and their posture is very simple and elegant. Many species extract finer shoots from the tip of the enlarged stem, usually cylindrical in shape, but also flat, such as the dragon of the Euphorbiaceae.
What is the key to growing a lot of meat flowers?
There are few types of epiphytic types in succulent flowers. The climate of their origin has a common feature, which is that each year has a dry season of varying lengths. In order to adapt to the environment, almost every kind of succulent flower has a significant period of body-sleeping once a year. Although they all dormant during the dry season, the specific time and duration of the dry season are different for each specific genera and species. Therefore, when these flowers are cultivated, it can be found that some species are dormant during the winter, some grow and even flower, and leave the eyes for a long time in the summer. We should master this by watering and fertilizing when they need a lot of water and nutrients, not watering and fertilizing when they are not needed during the dormancy period, and maintaining warming and keeping warm when they are maintained at this temperature. Direct sunlight will not cause cultivation failure. Therefore, grasping the growth period is the key to many kinds of meat flowers.
